A place to relax at the beach or play some b-ball.
Purpose: To provide entertainment and variety of activity for stressed workers.
Key Items: Depends on the simulation.
Workers: None
Access: Everyone
Exits: East to Starboard Bow Maintenance, west to Fitness Room
Recreational

The holodeck is located to the north-east of the station, above the Bar. It has no access restrictions to enter or use the console and is equipped for all your entertainment needs.

Notice: All items included in the simulation will disappear if carried out of the Holodeck. Injuries sustained by holo-weapons are purely simulated, and will recover fairly quickly with no risk of permanent damage.

Simulations

By using the holodeck control console to the right of the holodeck projection floor, you can project a number of different simulations to play in.

The included simulations are:

  • Empty Court: An empty court, simple and versatile.
  • Dodgeball Court: A dodgeball court, with balls for dodging.
  • Basketball Court: A basketball court, complete with two hoops and a ball, just be sure not to Chaos Dunk.
  • Thunderdome Arena: A Thunderdome court, with holo-armor and holo-energy swords.
  • Beach: A relaxing beach for those stressful days. Complete with sunglasses, a beach ball and crystal clear water!
  • Lounge: A lounge with gambling tables, cards, and a small stage area.
  • Pet Park: A grass field full of critters such as butterflies, dogs and cats!
  • Firing Range: A simple firing range, with a target stake and practice laser guns.
  • Anime School: A school equipped with student desks and a teacher desk. Each student desk has an anime outfit on it.
  • Chapel Courtroom: A courtroom for religious courts. Also useful if the real Courtroom has been blown up.
  • Space Chess: An 8x8 chessboard with carboard cutouts as pieces. Nobody knows the rules, but it's fun nonetheless.
  • Space Checkers: An 8x8 checkerboard with carboard cutouts as pieces.
  • Kobayashi Maru: The bridge of a battleship. Finally you can play a space simulator in a space simulator! Also contains a practice phaser, that fires disabler beams.
  • Winter Wonderland: A beautiful winter wonderland, for you to dream about all the winters you have never seen in space.
  • Photobooth: A white-floored photo booth, complete with a camera, a dresser and mirror to change your look and paint to customize the floor color.
  • Skateboard: A room filled with tables to skate over. Just don't forget your skateboard!
  • Japanese Tea House: A paper house containing tables and drinking glasses, so you can sit and have some tea.
  • Holo-Kitchen: A kitchen with equipment and plates. Also useful if the real Kitchen has been blown up.
  • Meeting: A long table with comfy chairs surrounding it. A nice, quiet place to hold a meeting.

Unsafe Simulations

Emagging or removing the safeties of the holodeck has two effects: it will unlock more dangerous scenarios, and will cause items spawned in the holodeck to do real damage and to not disappear upon exiting the holodeck room. They will still disappear if the holodeck changes program.

The unsafe simulations are:

  • Emergency Medical: A medical emergency room with more beds than the Medbay, a surgery area and fully functional medical machines!
  • 1218 AD: Contains several medieval weapons and a couple suits of armor. Also spawns a magnificent crown.
  • Atmospheric Burn Test: A room filled with burning plasma, which will quickly spill into other rooms.
  • Wildlife Simulation: Contains several holocarps, which will try to kill anything they see.
  • Holdout Bunker: A metal foam wall, and several laser guns. A good place for a last stand.
  • Antophilia: Contains BEES in large quantities. Every bee injects a random toxin, from plant killer to Initropidril.
  • Refueling Station: A bunch of welding fuel tanks, as flammable as the real kind.
  • Asylum: A medical area with cells. Each cell contains a psycho mob.
  • Clown World: A room filled with several types of clown. Honk!
