Humans
Description
Not sure, should lore and description be the same thing?
Lore
A species with humble origins, growing up on their home planet Tellune before eventually advancing into the space-age. After a significant boom in civilian access to space, the commercial applications of space stations in Auri, the sister system to Geminae, became readily apparent. A series of stations operated by various companies were created, with the latest and most modern being Space Station 13, operated by Nanotrasen.
IPCs
Description
Lore
IPCs are an advanced form of artificial intelligence designed to replicate human behavior. First designed for use during colonization attempts on Indol, while expensive to produce, they are more expendable than humans, less prone to biological hazards, do not sleep, and do not require food. A more advanced model of artificial intelligence is being developed by Nanotrasen to integrate with the station's systems via a common protocol, but as IPCs have no user-friendly way to integrate binding rules, it was deemed too risky to allow IPCs to access this protocol.
Various models of artificial intelligence programs (particularly those trained with larger, less-filtered data sources) have been known to infrequently go missing. This has led to a flurry of conspiracy theories, but Nanotrasen makes it clear that all machinery on their stations are regularly swapped or replaced to maintain the highest levels of safety. This does not stop rumors from swelling about a group of sentient AIs that have secured their freedom, known only by the acronym: S.E.L.F.
Felinids
Description
Lore
During the time that Geminae space was still developing, a colony was established on a hot, dusty exo-planet. Communications were lost with this colony and for years it was assumed to have failed, until colonization attempts were repeated years later. Instead of being alone, the colonists discovered humans with a large number of abnormal mutations and features, many of seemingly adopted from pets and local wildlife. Due to the vast amount of time, a natural selection process had taken place leading to many common features among the colonists. The most common observed, however, did not appear to benefit survival in the harsh environment but instead existed as a form of status symbol in the society that had emerged; cat ears were so common that these modified humans were known simply as 'felinids', eventually being integrated back into the wider space civilization that was developing at the time.

Lizards
Description
Lizardpeople, unlike many 'Animalid' species, are not derived from humans, and are simply bipedal reptile-like people. Lizards often find great pride in their species, and are naturally warlike.
Lore
With a rich tribal history and culture, the lizardpeople evolved naturally on Cinis(Unofficially called lavaland), where they maintain numerous tribal holdings to this day. When they were first discovered by tellune scouts, many of the more open minded tribes were interested in joining the greater tellunian government. After undergoing gene-modification to their lungs to survive in a more conventional oxygen atmosphere, the descendants of these open tribes now enjoy a widespread population and far better standards of living.
However, the vast majority of tribes was not so amicable, and to this day there are resistance movements and feral, warlike tribes present on Cinis. These often pose a threat to local mining operations.
Pzyphoza
Description
Psyphoza are a species of extra-sensory lesser-sensory fungal-form humanoids, infamous for their invulnerability to occlusion-based magic tricks and sleight of hand.
Lore
Psyphozas hail from the deep caves of 5513-E, a bejungled moon orbiting the gas giant Thetis. Curiously, Psyphoza have evolved powerful and mystical psychic abilities. As they are blind, they depend entirely on their psychic abilities to navigate their surroundings. Some researchers believe this to be impossible for natural evolution.
Psyphoza culture is deeply rooted in superstition, mysticism, and the occult. It is their belief that the morphology of their cap deeply impacts the course of their life, with characteristics such as size, colour, and shape influencing how irrespectively lucky or unlucky they might be in their experiences.
Although most Psyphoza have left behind a majority of the especially superstitious ideas of their progenitors, some lower caste members still cling to these old ideas as strongly as ever. These beliefs impact their culture deeply, resulting in very different behaviors between the typical and lower castes
Diona
Description
Dionae are the equivalent to a shambling mound of bug-like sentient plants wearing a trenchoat and pretending to be a human. Commonly found basking in the supermatter chamber during lunch breaks.
Lore
Much like their fungal compatriots, Dionae hail from Thetis's bejungled moon. They are a species of intensely curious sapient plant-bug-creatures, formed by a collective of independent Diona, named 'Nymphs', gathering together to form a collective named a 'Gestalt', commonly vaguely resembling a humanoid, although older collectives may grow into structures, or even floating asteroids in space.
Dionae culture, for the most part, is nomadic, with Parent Gestalts splitting off a bud that then goes off into the world to explore and gain knowledge for itself. Rarely, a handful of Gestalts may link up in an agreed upon location to share knowledge, or to form a larger structure.
As a collective of various individual nymphs with varying experiences, names can become rather tricky, thus, Dionae Gestalts settle upon a single core memory shared between all Nymphs most commonly something from their younger years and expanding over time as they relook upon their memories, though it's not unheard of for a Gestalt to fully change their name if they find a fresher memory represents them more.
Outsiders:
Moths
Description
Humanoid insect people with wings and antennae, mothpeople come in a variety of colors and patterns. Their physiology allows them to nibble on clothes and maneuver slightly without gravity, but their striking similarities to old Earth insects make them susceptible to traditional pest removal techniques.
Lore
The Moths, alongside their sister species of Apids come from a planet that has long since been lost called "Lümla". Drifting for centuries in hibernation on the "Platshållare", a massive sub-light space arc, their long hibernation had finally found an end when they found the Geminae system. Now their arc-ship has become their main habitat and is parked in a permanent orbit around Geminae's furthest planet Thars.
Since their arrival they have made quite a name for themselves as a light monopoly in the travel business between Geminae and Auri. If you're going to Auri, chances are, you are doing so on a mothish transport. Swarms of such transports have quickly become the hallmark of Thars' space.
Their arrival was also a boon technologically. They brought supermatter technology to the human colonies, who are now experimenting with it themselves, and find such a """foolproof""" method of power generation quite handy.
Apids
Apid Description (Blatant copypasta, please fix)
Humanoid insect people with wings and antennae, apidians come in a variety of colors and patterns. Their physiology allows them to dash forwards with a beat of their wings, but their striking similarities to old Earth insects make them susceptible to traditional pest removal techniques.
Lore
The Apids, alongside their sister species of Moths come from a planet that has long since been lost called "Lümla". Drifting for centuries in hibernation on the "Platshållare", a massive sub-light space arc, their long hibernation had finally found an end when they found the Geminae system. Now their arc-ship has become their main habitat and is parked in a permanent orbit around Geminae's furthest planet Thars.
Though apids are traditionally in a subserviant role, with their arrival in the geminae system, change is inevitable. And their traditionally stratified society is slowly loosening up.
Traditionally matriarchal, Apids typically organize into clans centered around a clan mother. While this is mostly informal in nature, their government does respect such groups by law.
Their arrival was also a boon technologically. They brought supermatter technology to the human colonies, who are now experimenting with it themselves and find such a """foolproof""" method of power generation quite handy.
Ethereals
Description
Ethereals are a unique species with liquid electricity for blood and a glowing body. They thrive on electricity and are naturally agender.
Lore
Arriving with their masters on the Platshållare, the artificially created species of Etherials has been designed for service. Easily surviving on the near limitless energy of mothish supermatter-fueled vessels, they served as stewards and workers to their two master races since time immemorial.
Like the apids though, with their arrival in human space comes change, and even this rock solid pseudo-enslavement has begun to loosen over the years. Today, Etherials can be found basically anywhere and they enjoy a normal standard of living. Some of the more traditionalist moths and apids would rather see that not be the case.
