My ckey is Erwgd. I am most experienced in game as a botanist and Cook.

Obtaining raw meat

Butcher

  • Butcher a critter by attacking it with a knife while it is dead.
    • Monkeys can also be butchered.

This usually produces one or more slabs of meat. Some critters produce different varieties of slab, which may have their own unique recipes, but all slabs of meat can be used in a number of common recipes.

However, butchering a space carp will produce a carp fillet. Fillets are not considered slabs of meat so are used in different recipes.

Gibber

The gibber destroys humanoid bodies to produce meat. Use your judgement to avoid breaking the rules: gibbing dead bodies who are described as having commited suicide or their soul departed is OK; catatonic people and/or non-player characters are also usually fine by the rules.

  • Get a humanoid or a monkey.
  • Remove every item carried by the organism.
  • Grab the organism.
  • Click on the gibber to insert the organism for gibbing.
  • Click on the gibber once the organism is placed inside. Some meat will be launched out of the gibber after the body is destroyed.

Other

A dead mouse is an ingredient for the rat burger, but has no other use in cooking.

Slicing ingredients

  • You need a knife or blade of some sort.
    • A kitchen knife, scalpel or butcher's cleaver will slice accurately and produce the most slices; other blades slice inaccurately and will not produce as many slices.
  • A table or a tray is required.
  1. Put the ingredient on a table, or drop it on a tile which also has a tray (don't store the ingredient in the tray). This makes it sliceable.
  2. Click on the ingredient with a knife; this will slice it.

Table-crafting

Most dish recipes are made using table crafting.

  1. First, place your ingredients on a table. Put them on the same table tile.
  2. Click & drag from the table (or from any ingredient on it) onto yourself to open a crafting window.
  3. The crafting window lists all recipes that can be made with the ingredients. If one of the ingredients is a liquid, you can have the liquid in any kind of container on the table.
  4. Simply click any recipe to start crafting it. You do not need to have the exact amounts of ingredients or only those on your table. As long as you have at least the minimum amount of each needed ingredients you can craft it.

Breads and sandwiches

Bread

  • 15u flour
  • 10u water
  • A microwave is required.
  1. Mix flour and water in a reagent container (e.g. drinking glass, bucket, beaker). This forms a dough.
  2. Put dough in a microwave and switch it on. This forms a bread, also known as a loaf of plain bread.

Bread slice

  • 1 bread
  1. Slice the bread; if sliced accurately 5 slices are made.

Meatbread loaf

  • 1 bread
  • 1 slab of meat
  • A microwave is required.
  1. Slice the slab of meat; if sliced accurately 3 raw cutlets are made.
  2. Put all 3 raw cutlets in a microwave and switch it on. 3 (cooked) cutlets are made.
  3. Place the bread and the 3 cutlets on the same tile of table.
  4. Table-craft meatbread loaf.

Meatbread slice

  • 1 meatbread loaf
  1. Slice the meatbread loaf; if sliced accurately 5 slices are made.

Sandwich

  • 2 bread slices
    • Only slices of plain bread can be used.
  • 1 meat steak
    • To get a meat steak, cook a slab of meat in a microwave.
  • 1 cheese wedge
  • A microwave is required.
