The collective is an organisation that performs contractual work for government bodies to secure, study and exploit the anomalous entities seen on the planet. They are a collection of organisations with a shared interest in securing regions affected by anomalous activity. They aren't a secret organisation, and the anomalies left behind have been widely known by the greater population but since information travels so slowly in the border regions of space, you will always find some people that aren't aware of the restricted zones.

Organisational Structure

They are made of a single, core organisation which is run by a board of 13 individuals each representing the interests of various government organisations or independant contractors that work for those government bodies. While they issue sub-contracts for equipment that they do not directly produce, the main research staff are directly hired and managed by the collective themselves.

The Future

In the future, the collective will splinter with remaining groups forming the syndicate. The Syndicate will oppose a rising corporation, Nanotrasen, who ultimately succeeds in utilising anomalous technologies, stealing contracts from the collective.
