Emergencies

Emergencies is a system for round-management, that defines the major events that will take place. There are two types of emergencies:

  • Internal: Emergency sequence of events that require player actions to trigger. Overrides external emergencies.
  • External: Event sequence chosen at the start of the round, if no internal emergencies are activated then this will trigger instead.

Goals

  • Emergencies force some story events to happen independant of antagonists on the station.
  • Emergencies promote interesting rounds by forcing situations to start.

Non-Goals

  • Emergencies do not replace antagonists, which are intended to add on top of emergencies. (Dominant modes such as nukies/cult are their own emergencies)
