Map of the Geminae-Auri System

Geminae System

Overview

The Geminae-Auri binary star constellation is the birthplace of humanity. Tellune's mild biosphere, combined with its unusually large moon Seta, proved an ideal location for the natural evolution of the human race.

Though largely separated by the Stadius Halo, a dense asteroid belt between the orbits of Indol and Ceti, space travel and colonization efforts have accelerated greatly since humanity's first forays into space. With thriving colonies on both Indol and Unope, and the mothish arc ship over Thars, the Geminae system has become a thriving economic zone.

Map of the Auri System

Auri System

Overview

Auri, a Type M red dwarf, orbits Geminae on a highly distant and incredibly elliptical orbit. This means that with current technology, travel between Auri and Geminae is only possible in realistic timeframes during the time of closest approach, lasting roughly a year. Since this only happens every 23 years, colonization on Auri has been greatly slowed compared to the greater Geminae system.

Nevertheless, progress has a way of being inevitable. Colonization efforts were already in progress when the Platshållare arrived, and with mothish technology, a full frontier-style colony boom was inevitable. Since the discovery of Phoron on Cinis(affectionately called Lavaland), a number of corporate entities now occupy Auri space.
