These are In-Character Guidelines

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are general guidelines and may be used as justification for administrative action and/or IC punishments, such as being fired from your position. They are not meant to be followed to the letter, because circumstances and context may permit you to break SOP. However, the fact that SOP is malleable is not an excuse to ignore it entirely.

Quartermaster

  1. The Quartermaster must follow the same Guidelines as Shaft Miners and Cargo Technicians.
  2. The Quartermaster has the authority to deny any request not made by a Head of Staff or Command staff.
  3. The Quartermaster does not have authority over the Head of Security or the Warden regarding station weaponry.
  4. The Quartermaster is free to utilize paperwork at their discretion. However, during emergencies, expediency should take precedence over bureaucracy.
  5. The Quartermaster should not collect department budget cards.

Cargo Technician

  1. Cargo Technicians may not distribute contraband.
  2. Cargo Technicians are not permitted to illegally modify the autolathe or any other machinery in Cargo.
  3. Cargo Technicians are not permitted to create or order weaponry without permission from the Head of Security or Captain. With permission, weapons are to be handed over to the Warden and placed in the Armory.
  4. Cargo Technicians are not permitted to distribute department-specific equipment to any location other than the department they are intended for.
  5. Cargo Technicians are not permitted to break open crates.

Shaft Miner

  1. Shaft Miners must have permission from the Quartermaster to begin salvaging operations of any ruins that exist on the surface.
  2. Shaft Miners are required to maintain telecommunications while off station, and may not disable it.
  3. Shaft Miners must ensure that the hull plating of their dedicated mining outpost is not compromised.
  4. Shaft Miners must provide a sufficient level of materials to the station in the course of their work.
  5. Shaft Miners should get cloning pre-scanned, enable suit sensors to tracking beacon, and carry a named GPS with them for emergency location purposes.
  6. Shaft Miners are not permitted to bring dangerous equipment back to the station without express permission from the Head of Security or Captain.
