Station traits

trait selection is exclusive for each category. If your station is lucky(maybe not) enough, you'll get 6 traits in total.

Positive traits:

  • 20/26 chance(76.9%): Nothing
  • 5/26 chance(19.2%): one trait
  • 1/26 chance(3.8%): two traits

Negative traits:

  • 20/26 chance(76.9%): Nothing
  • 5/26 chance(19.2%): one trait
  • 1/26 chance(3.8%): two traits

Neutral traits:

  • 10/23 chance(43.5%): Nothing
  • 10/23 chance(43.5%): one trait
  • 3/23 chance(13.0%): two traits

  • Pizza boxes and beers will be spawned in the station.
Galactic grant 5

  "Your station has been selected for a special grant. Some extra funds has been made available to your cargo department."

  • Cargo has more money - 2,000 to 5,000 credits.
Premium internals boxes 10   "The internals boxes for your crew have been filled with bonus equipment."
  • A survival box that is spawned in a character's inventory additionally has a flare and a station bounced radio.
Bountiful bounties 5

  "It seems collectors in this system are extra keen to on bounties, and will pay more to see their completion."

  • Bounty rewards are increased by 20%.
Strong supply lines 5

  "Prices are low in this system, BUY BUY BUY!"

  • The cost of supply crates is reduced by 20%.
Scarves 5

  "Nanotrasen is experimenting with seeing if neck warmth improves employee morale."
  "After Space Fashion Week, scarves are the hot new accessory."
  "Everyone was simultaneously a little bit cold when they packed to go to the station."

  • Players will get a scarf upon a roundjoin.
Filled up maintenance 5

  "Our workers accidentally forgot more of their personal belongings in the maintenance areas."

  • Maintenance tunnels have 50% more(round down) items.
Quick Shuttle 5

  "Due to proximity to our supply station, the cargo shuttle will have a quicker flight time to your cargo department."

  • Supply shuttle is 50% faster.

  • This will replace the station announcer with an intern who will not say anything detailed... You really don't know what's coming.
Carp infestation 5

  "Dangerous fauna is present in the area of this station."

  • Carps will be spawned around outside of the station.
Distant supply lines 3

  "Due to the distance to our normal supply lines, cargo orders are more expensive."

  • The cost of supply crates is increased by 20%.
Late Arrivals 2

  "You are getting late, again. Get your stuff together or you are all fired."
  "Our calculations were off by a bit. Shuttle will be there in a few seconds."

  • Everyone who readied a round will roundstart in the arrival shuttle.
Drive-by landing 2

  "We overshot your station by a few miles. Prepare to be pod launched onto it."
  "We've missed your station, sorry for that. You will be launched onto it shortly."

  • People will roundstart in random places.
Hangover 2

  "That was one hell of a night. Now, get back to work."
  "Party's over. Get back to work."

  • The station had a party: the halls are covered in vomit and beer bottles, and everyone is vomiting.
  • Also, people will roundstart in hallways, bar or dormitory.
Blackout 5

  "Station lights seem to be damaged, be safe when starting your shift today."

  • every APC in the station has a 60% chance to be overloaded.
Cleaned out maintenance 5

  "Our workers cleaned out most of the junk in the maintenace areas."

  • Maintenance tunnels have 50% less(round down) items.
Overflow bureacracy mistake 5

  "Overflow bureacracy mistake - It seems for some reason we put out the wrong job-listing for the overflow role this shift...I hope you like [chosen_job]s."

  • One of these jobs will have no cap on the number of crewmembers assigned: Clown, Mime, Bartender, Cook, Botanist, Cargo tech, Janitor.
Slow Shuttle 5

  "Due to distance to our supply station, the cargo shuttle will have a slower flight time to your cargo department."

  • Supply shuttle is 50% slower.
Bot Language Matrix Malfunction 3

  "Your station's friendly bots have had their language matrix fried due to [event_source], resulting in some strange and unfamiliar speech patterns."

  • Station bots will speak a random language rather than Galactic Common.
United Department Budget Management 2

  "[event_reasoning]. So, all station budgets have been united into one, and all budget cards will be linked to one account."

  • Station budgets are literally merged into "United Budget" and all budget cards are linked to the budget.

  • PDA sounds are glitching. really nothing.
Announcement "System" 5

  "Our announcement system is under scheduled maintanance at the moment. Thankfully, we have a backup."

  • Station announcer will be medbot style.
Announcer: Archival Tape 5

  "We lost the primary datatape that holds the announcement system's voice responses. We did however find an older backup."

  • Station announcer will be Baystation style.

Exclusive traits

All exclusive station traits will be rolled to appear. If a station has a very wild luck, It's possible to have all exclusive station traits (unless these are blacklisted by each others.)

There is no exclusive trait in the game currently, so these are just examples for now.
