So, it's your first time as a Station Engineer, and you want to try to use the engine without devastating half the station. The engine is, by far, the most important equipment on the station; without it, none of the doors, lighting, or departmental equipment functions, meaning all productivity essentially ceases. However, the various engines available on the station can be deadly, both to you and everyone else. Because of this, knowing how to set them up safely is vital.

Particle Accelerator-based

These are the most commonly-occurring engines, appearing at the start of the shift in most station layouts. They both require setting up the Particle Accelerator, as well as the containment field around the engine itself.

The main page for the Singularity can be found here.

The Singularity, to put it simply, is a man-made black hole; it sucks nearby objects into itself in order to increase its size, and it emits deadly radiation around it.

Other Engines

The engines below appear less often; they may be present in Engineering or Atmospherics at the start of the shift, in some station layouts, or they may be ordered for the station via Cargo. They require different methods in order to set up.
