This is the guide to pets and other critters.

What you need to know about critters
Critters are controlled by the game's artificial intelligence, not to be confused with the AI. This AI is remarkably limited in many respects, which most often manifests in subpar pathfinding and limited reaction to the physics systems that human controlled mobs have to deal with. This makes them unpredictable and frustrating as both allies and opponents.

Critters are divided into four categories:

Pets
style='background-color:#F7BE81; width:5%'|
style='background-color:#F7BE81; width:10%'|Name
style='background-color:#F7BE81;'|Description

Mouse
Wanders around the dark glimpsy maintenances, and squeeks when stepped on. Bonus points if you can find Tom.

Coffee
A brown crab that wanders around aimlessly on a beach somewhere.

Ian
Ian spawns in the Head of Personnel's Office.
Ian can be dressed up in a variety of hilarious outfits, commonly found in the theater or around the station.
Please don't throw him in the laundry machine.
If you kill Ian, expect to be lynched.
The secret objective for every HoP is to get Ian on the shuttle alive, to return to Centcom.

Runtime
Runtime is the pet cat of Medbay. She spawns in the Chief Medical Officer's Office. She is much less fun than Ian as she can't be dressed in silly costumes. If you work in Medbay, your secret objective is to keep her safe, and away from that brute Ian. Runtime likes to chase mice.

Poly
Poly belongs to the Chief Engineer. Will annoy the hell out of you by stealing objects from your hand. He can also wear and talk over a headset. <s>Lets you know if the singularity escapes</s> Complains about the lack of hardsuits repeatedly.

Pun Pun
Pun Pun spawns outside of the Bar. If you are the Bartender, you are going to spend most of your shift protecting him from the Chef. This rarely works out well, as if the chef doesn't get him, science does.
The first burgers you eat on Space Station 13 are usually made of Pun Pun.

Lamarr
Held in a display case inside in the Research Director's Office. Lamarr is a de-fanged alien facehugger, who likes to harmlessly latch on to people's faces.

Helpful
style='background-color:#BEF781;'|Description

Floorbot
Floorbots are one of the station's robotic creations. Normally they repair flooring on any opened space tile, but when hacked, they expose floor tiles to open space instead.

Cleanbot
Another robotic creation. Cleanbots will always be helpful; even if hacked they still clean floors, albeit in a more sloppy way.

Medibot
A helpful little surgeon. See the guide to robotics.
<br>

Security Robots
A.K.A. Officer Beepsky/Securitron and ED-209. Unless emagged, attacked, in view of a Law Violation, or otherwise provoked, these robots will simply patrol the station. When one spots a criminal, it will rush towards the offender, shooting taser bolts, or swinging a stunclub. After incapacitation, handcuffs will be applied, ready for Security to pick up.

Lizard
Harmless, and will not attack until you do. Otherwise, they will move off in a random direction every few moments. Not to be confused with lizardpeople.

Pete the Goat
The (not really) harmless and mostly terrible goat. He spends his time plotting in the Chef's freezer; it's best to leave him there. Not only is Pete a wily and murderous animal, but his caretaker, the Chef, may just have the excuse he's always wanted for making you into a burger. Pete likes to eat space vines. Can be milked.

Walking Mushroom
Truly neutral, their only purpose is to travel around the area they're in and look adorable. A more sinister property is their ability to <s>warp and slow space-time</s> MURDER EACH OTHER. Only in massive groups is their evil truly realized. One or two as pets are fine, however.

Space Clown
The lesser-skilled inhabitants of Clown Planet, they mostly mill about the area, occasionally honking. Robust one like the redshirt you are, or talk smack about the Honkmother, and your eardrums will explode at the menacing HONKs, and your body will be ground to dust under the stampede of floppy shoes.

Cow
Known for their milk, just don't tip them over. Can be milked for milk with a bucket.

Chicken
Hopefully the eggs are good this season. If you feed it wheat it starts laying eggs. The eggs may hatch into chicks. Thrown eggs have a 13% chance to hatch as well.

Chick
Adorable! They make such a racket though.

Snake
Hunts and eats mice. Retaliates if attacked. Can be bought at Cargo or created via Xenobiology.
<br>

Hostile
style='background-color:#D0A9F5; width:5%'|
style='background-color:#D0A9F5; width:10%'|Name
style='background-color:#D0A9F5;'|Description

Space Carp
Spess Carp are an alien lifeform that travel through space in schools. Sometimes, space stations will be attacked by a traveling school, and anyone unlucky enough to be outside the protective walls will be attacked. Carp have a chance to stun their victims and attack every tick, doing about 10 brute damage with each bite.

Giant Spider
Giant spiders that grow from spiderlings, spread webs and attack anyone they encounter, causing brute damage from the hit and toxin damage from the venom they inflict. Changelings have the ability to infest the station with spiderlings that will grow into these.

Facehugger
Facehuggers knock out their victims outright and have a chance to infect them with a deadly xeno embryo. On the other hand, they can usually only attack once before they die and their infectious embryos can be resisted. Facehuggers don't care about masks or most headgear and will tear them off when they leap.

Space Bear
Space bears can be spawned by cruel admins or mad scientists and will swarm the station, rapidly killing anyone they encounter. Bears will choose their targets one at a time and pursue them, giving a growl to alert their intended victim. Bears can see through windows, but won't break them.

Cosmic Horror
Horrifying, nightmare-inducing monsters from beyond the stars. Cosmic horrors are yellow, blob like creatures that will attack anyone they can find. The Wizard keeps one as a pet.

Killer Tomato
Spawned from the hydroponic trays of spiteful botanists, these mutant vegetables will hop menacingly after the first living thing they see. You should have eaten your veggies, because now they'll <del>eat you</del> invade harmlessly your personal space!

Viscerator
A small flying deployed drone created and manufactured by one of the Major Syndicate Corps, they are hostile towards anything they see and attack using their rotor blades. Considered extremely efficient and are used in infiltrations and hostile take-overs, usually serve as a distraction to a more serious threat.

Pine Tree
A large, wintry tree. It appears to be a normal evergreen tree that would be perfect for the holidays, but it secretly detests festivities and will assault anybody within range of its menacing branches.. Commonly seen spawned by scientists with gold slimes and too much free time.

Hivebot
A roaming bee-bot equipped with an attached weapon that fires bullet projectiles that can also come in stronger versions, its rate of fire is slow and is considered moderate in terms of damage. Easily destroyable, however this is countered by being in packs or even in an entire platoon.

Hivelord
Found on the asteroid. These strange creatures will unleash hivelord broods one after another at you whilst trying to keep distant. Fortunately, each of its spawn dies in a single hit, and deal tickle damage. Their remains are known to have curative properties

Goliath
The bane of many careless miners. Found on the asteroid, these creatures pack a heavy punch, and slip anyone who comes near with four tentacles for better ease of punching. If felled, they leave behind hive plates that can be used to strengthen hardsuits, plus a corpse that can be <s>used to revive with a lazarus injector and terrorize the station</s> paraded as a trophy.

Basilisk
Fierce, territorial beasts that live on the asteroid, capable of firing freezing beams, cold enough to inflict serious freeze burns while it closes in and attacks its immobilized target. Fortunately, they don't attack unless someone comes very close to them. Drops diamonds upon death.

Goldgrub
Mostly harmless and quite rare. Found on the asteroid, these creatures swallow up any loose, valuable ore they can find and flee when approached by a human, smashing through even solid rock on their path of escape before burrowing into the ground.

Blob Spore
Spawns from the Blob Factory. Chases and hits you, and releases spore gas upon death.

Blob Zombie
If a Blob Spore finds a corpse, it will zombify it and then chase and hit you.

Blobbernaut
A Blob Factory can turn into this. Chases and hits you hard.

Mega Space Carp
A spaceproof even more giant carp. Has more health and damage than basic carps.

Magicarp
A spaceproof giant carp with magic powers. Can bite like a normal carp, but it can also shoot magic bolts (Door Creation, Change, Animation, Healing, Death, Fireball, Teleportation, Nothing, Spellblade). A magicarp can only shoot one kind of bolt, picked randomly at the moment of spawn.

Chaos Magicarp
Those with grees eyes are Nurse Spiders and can lay eggs that'll hatch into more spiders, if it manages to cocoon a corpse. Extremely dangerous.

Soul stones are commonly located with the occult or magic, such as Cultists and Wizards. They can be used to build up an army of loyal servants.

Overview
Shades and constructs are slaved to their masters will. They must follow the orders of their master at any cost. They are capable of grasping intent, unlike synthetic beings. Shades as well as any constructs are EVA capable and can maneuver in space without outside aid. Should they die, they leave behind ectoplasma which can be used to make ghost-burgers. Constructs created by cultists automatically become cultists themselves, allowing them to identify their team mates, and even count for the escape objective. Clever crewmen who steal soulstones and shells can create their own constructs to fight the cult.

Some constructs have special abilities, which can be used similarly to mime, changeling and wizard abilities via the tabs on the right side of the SS13 interface. All constructs are immune to being stunned, but similarly, their attacks have no stun chance like regular attacks.

All constructs have the ability to scribe specific runes, however with a 3-minute cooldown.

Soulstone Shards
<br>
Soulstones Shards (or simply Soulstones) are used to house souls. They can be used to release said souls, into the form of a shade. A Soulstone can be used on a dead or living human in critical condition (Providing the soul is still inside the body) to load his soul into said stone. From here, the soul can only speak in Nar-Sie tongue, but the master can momentarily release the soul and it becomes a shade or it can be inserted into a construct-shell to be made into one of the various kinds of constructs.

Soulstone shards can be purified by anyone with a Bible in hand that isn't in a Blood Cult. This will cleanse any contained shade from evil and will cause them to take on a white appearance, and will no longer be sided with the cult. These purified soulstone shards can then be put into construct shells, to create special crew-friendly purified constructs.

Shade
* HP: 50
* Damage: 15

<br>
Shades are fragile, but being recaptured into their Soulstone shard heals them. All a shade can do is slowly drain life, remove clothes (and handcuffs) and spin chairs.

* Fun fact, humans can pull shades (no, not like that, you sick fuck).

Artificer
* HP: 50
* Damage: 5

<br>
The artificer is the "drone" of the cult. It can construct cult-floors, walls and reinforced walls, as well as take apart the station, but its main purpose is to provide the materials to construct additional constructs. It can create new soul stones or shells after a certain time. In addition to that, it can heal itself or other constructs by "attacking" them.

Spells
* Summon Cult Floor - This spell constructs a cult floor under you.
* Summon Cult Wall - This spell constructs a cult wall.
* Greater Conjuration - This spell constructs a reinforced metal cult wall.
* Summon Soulstone - This spell reaches into Nar-Sie's realm, summoning one of the legendary fragments across time and space.
* Lesser Magic Missile - This spell fires several, slow-moving, magic projectiles at nearby targets. That includes cultists so beware

Wraith Wraith
* HP: 65
* Damage: 25

<br>
The wraith is a tiny bit more fragile than a human but has a strong melee attack. It can, similar to a wizards Ethereal Jaunt, become invisible and travel through closed doors and even walls by using it's phase shift ability. This construct is the bane of the AI, as the stationary AI core is defenseless against them.

The wraith can lower it's jaunt cooldown by attacking:
*1 Second on normal attacks
*5 Seconds on critting
*Full refund on kills

Spells
* Phase Shift - This spell allows you to pass through walls, similar to the wizard's ethereal jaunt.

Juggernaut
* HP: 150
* Damage: 30

<br>
Juggernauts are strong, slow and have lots of health. They can destroy any wall by simply punching it and do more damage than Wraiths. They cannot be pushed or grabbed and even have a force-wall ability similar to the wizard spell. Additionally, Juggernauts are immune to any weapon of force 10 or below, such as fire extinguishers, harm batons, and large air tanks, and even have a chance to deflect projectiles off of them.

Spells
* Shield - This spell creates a temporary forcefield to shield yourself and allies from incoming fire.
* Gauntlet Echo - Channels energy into your gauntlet - firing its essence forward in a slow-moving but devastating blow.

Runic Golem
* HP: 100
* Damage: 14

<br>
A golem created from runic metal. While not technically a Construct, it certainly passes for one in terms of appearance and powers. It has the same HP as a human and can wield weapons as well. Most importantly, as it's defined as a mutant "human," it can cast blood magic and scribe runes! Relatively rare due to golem shells being hard to obtain, the runic metal means that there has to be a blood cult onboard, and because unlike other constructs, it takes some effort to mass-produce them. (as well as control over xenobiology)

Spells
* Phase Shift - This spell allows you to pass through walls.
* Abyssal Gaze - This spell instills a deep terror in your target, temporarily chilling and blinding it.
* Dominate - This spell dominates the mind of a lesser creature, causing it to see you as an ally.

Harvester
* HP: 60
* Damage: 20

<br>
Harvesters will only appear after Nar-Sie has risen, and they have one goal: To bring you screaming and kicking back to Nar-Nar. Their attacks do not do much damage but they will take off a limb. Once you have no limbs (or no will to crawl away), they will drag you back to Nar-Sie to become a harvester yourself.

Harvesters have two abilities, one is an area convert that turns a small area of effect around itself into cult material, and the other one is a shield to block humans from escaping their grasp. Finally, they can go through cult walls, so they will use their area convert to pass through obstacles to get to you.

Pleasing Nar-Sie will make her grant you with an evolved shell, allowing you to absolutely dumpster those meatbags. There's two ways to Please Nar-Nar:
*Summon Nar-Sie
*Drag enough humans to Nar-Sie as a harvester

Spells
* Area Conversion - This spell instantly converts a small area around you.
* Shield - This spell creates a temporary forcefield to shield yourself and allies from incoming fire.

Purified Constructs
<br>

Any non-cultist can use a bible on a cultist or wizard soulstone shard to purify it, turning it blue. Putting a filled purified soulstone shard into a construct shell will create a blue version an ordinary construct. These will be loyal to the crew and have abilities similar to the non-purified versions. A purified artificer will be able to produce purified soulstone shards and ordinary construct shells. Any of purified construct can destroy runes by attacking them.

Kocмичecкaя Cтaнция 13 (lit. "Space Station 13") was a highly secret plasma mining and research station allegedly launched by the Third Soviet Union in 2544, and destroyed two years later in a bombing by the Syndicate, ultimately becoming a derelict vessel. Nanotrasen officials have denied knowing anything about KC13 or the bombing. Contrary to the Nanotrasen story, KC13 was most likely a predecessor to the modern Space Station 13, as both stations contain near-identical technology and a similar layout.

<br>

In-Game
<strike>In-Game, the Derelict is where most things thrown into Space eventually end up. It is by far the largest structure in the space around SS13. The easiest way to end up at the Derelict is to launch yourself out of the mass driver in SS13's chapel, which will send you on a high-speed journey that will put you at the Derelict's Chapel.

The most important feature of the Derelict is its teleporter, located in a small room due south of its chapel that is not attached to the rest of the station. The Derelict's teleporter is the best way to get back to the main station from Space (unless you have external airlock access or can hack doors to get into Telecomms from space).</strike>
The derelict and the derelict teleporter are now randomized ruins, along with everything else in space.

The main portion of the Derelict is only slightly more hospitable than space itself. Most of the station has proper atmosphere, but is freezing due to multiple hull breaches and is not survivable without a space suit. The ship's courtroom (located due east of the Chapel) is still warm. Some particularly intrepid Engineers have been known to use the courtroom as a staging point for attempts to reclaim the Derelict. Note that reclaiming the Derelict will usually require hacking the doors, as while they will respond to IDs from the main station, the access levels on KC13 were slightly different than on SS13 (one notable example is that the Med-Sci wing doors are only openable by the Research Director, CMO, or Captain by default). Power can be restored to the Derelict by restoring either of its two solar panels, which require exactly two lengths of wire each.

Exploring the Derelict for items is mostly a pointless endeavor unless you're looking for something specific. A small list of things that can be found on the Derelict (and their potential uses):

* An intellicard
* An EMP grenade
* Two Red Space Suits (one in the AI core, one in the Engine room) and a single Red Space Helmet (in the AI core)
* Two fully-loaded Syndicate toolboxes (One with the suit and helmet in the AI core, the other in the engine room, useful for R&D)
* A SWAT Helmet (in the Engine room)
* A working security camera computer (can be disassembled to get the board)
* A pAI (in the room with the EMP grenade)
* Medibot parts (first aid kit/robot arm assembly in the Medbay, Health Analyzer in a room south of Medbay, Proximity Sensor in a room east of the Health Analyzer room)
* Various medkit items (bruise packs) in the Medbay along with the Medibot
* A police baton
* A full canister of plasma in the Engine room (useful as a last resort for recharging jetpacks)
* Spare parts for the Singularity Engine
* <strike>A Genetics Data Disk labelled "God-Emperor of Mankind" (contains only a UI and UE)</strike>
* A "Вода"(Voda) vending machine that vends Ice Cups (and can be hacked to vend Space Cola)
* An Omnilathe and an Omni-circuit Imprinter are located in tech storage. (to the far north of the derelict) Or, you know, you could just ask the free golems.
Construction Time
Here you can utilise a highly advance, remote controlled, RCD Drone to rapidly construct a base from scratch. This RCD Drone is fully equipped with a expanded supply of RCD matter charges, and is capable of quickly building a large suite of structures.

The RCD Drone can construct the following

* Standard compliment of walls, airlocks and windows.
* Up to four 'fans', these fans prevent air from being sucked out into Lavaland from a open airlock. The fan should be placed after a airlock has been placed.
* Up to four defence turrets. These turrets will fend off local wildlife. They will only deal full damage if exposed to the outside pressure of Lavaland, and as such should be placed outside the base.

The base also comes with the following unique equipment

* Shuttle Dock - This, when activated, will allow the Mining Shuttle to land at the beacon anywhere on Lavaland. So long as it does not crash into the Aux Base.

Deployment
In order to deploy a Aux Base onto Lavaland a Miner first has to activate a Landing Beacon where they want it to land, this device is found inside any Miner Personal Locker. Once placed a warning will be sent to the station that a drop point has been deployed, and the base can be sent at any time.

In order to send the actual base, someone has to physically interact with the console at the centre of the Aux Base, after a few moments this will launch the base down to the beacon.

Note that a intrepid crew can launch multiple Auxiliary Bases, this can allow a crew to link up multiple buildings and create a large, and sprawling, Auxiliary Base.
Located above the arrivals shuttle, this is where the crew can build a base for Lavaland. Once you are happy with what you have built, have the miners activate their special beacon at the desired landing zone and punch in the teleportation sequence on the big blue computer. Wa-la! It's free real estate! Now put on some internals and colonize! Kill the local fauna and indigenous population, start a cannabis plantation on the fertile volcanic soil, create even more bases with the help of engineering!

But, be careful! The untamed lavaland is prone to ashstorms! You will need roofs to shield you from the blazing ashes! How to build roofs you ask? Simple, delineate an area with the Chief Engineer's blueprint.
Most of the waste disposals around the station will send their contents to the outlet in the back of the Delivery Office. Use the conveyor to drag it out and sift through the mess for that rare valuable mistake. Send on the actual trash to Waste Disposal with the top conveyor.

Postman Pat
Pick up that package wrapper and use it on your item. Check the Destination tagger's controls to set the destination, and then tag your new parcel. Toss it onto the top conveyor and it will arrive in seconds! Don't worry about the mail desk or the corridor conveyor belt, nobody will ever use them.

You can wrap up some items as gifts, but you'll need wirecutters to cut the paper. Have them in your other hand and click with the object you want to wrap. You can turn the gift into a package and mail it but why not deliver it for the personal touch?

Corpses
Expect a steady stream of dead people dumped into disposal. Most killers don't expect anyone to be working in here, and they are usually right. Make sure you are wearing gloves if in the room, and call the Detective when you find one.

If you manage to get a hold of a bomb, you can use the delivery system here to zip over your explosive package to anywhere on station with a disposal outlet. Just make sure you time your detonation right, so you don't miss your target or have the bomb disarmed.
PubbyStation's custodial closet contains all the standard supplies required by a janitor on a high-tech space station, along with a special crown to signify your importance to the filthy, unwashed crew. A door on the north wall of the main storage room leads to the janitor's sleeping quarters, the privacy of which can be enhanced by snipping the wires of the security camera.

In the event of an messy emergency, you can open the custodial closet shutters using a button on the west wall, theoretically allowing the crew to assist you in cleaning the station. You may want to secure objects with mischief-making potential first, however.[напихайте говна для шаблона справа] [напихайте говна для шаблона справа] [напихайте говна для шаблона справа] [напихайте говна для шаблона справа] [напихайте говна для шаблона справа] [напихайте говна для шаблона справа] [напихайте говна для шаблона справа]
